Frequently Asked Questions

How long is your show?

I have standard shows of 30, 40, 50, and 90 minutes which can easily fit within the time opportunity you have available. When you let me know how much time you want me to entertain, I will tailor the show appropriately.

How would you describe your show?

Creative, Classic, and Clever. Using everyday objects and sleight of hand, I will entertain you and your guests by giving you a peek inside the mind of a magician to demonstrate ‘Why’ magic works.

Do you use Audience volunteers?

Yes, with a caveat. Audience members love to be included but they don’t like to be embarrassed or made to look silly. All my audience volunteers are treated with respect as they become the hands and close-up eyes for the rest of the room. Being my assistant is often the best seat in the house.

Do you do shows for kids?

My entire act is family friendly, with no “blue humor”, political satire, or off-color jokes. You can feel comfortable bringing your near-adolescent children to any of my shows. Younger children, however, are entertained with young humor, animals, balloons, and slapstick; none of which is part of my performance. I would not recommend my act for an audience of only children.

Is the show family-friendly?

How much room do you need?

Not much at all. I frequently perform in private settings where I have a small table to sit behind, and just enough room to stand up and walk six feet left to right. Again, not much. When performing walk-about or hospitality magic, I need just enough room to stand in front of 3, 4, 6 people at a time. The bigger issue is how much room the audience needs, and what are the sight lines. If you have any questions about room size, audience size, or site lines, give me a call. I’m sure we can figure out what works best.

My event has a theme, or message. Can you work it into your act?

I do it all the time. Very often as a presenter for a kick-off meeting, a strategy session, trade show booth, and even a television commercial, I will develop a special routine, or adapt a classic to communicate your special message to clients, employees, or prospects.
